This blog was started as a means of communicating with my friends and family around the world, when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in April 2012. There are many things I wish I had known before I started and with luck this may help prepare others along the way.
My hope is that both patients and care-givers will benefit from learning a little more from someone who has been through the process.
Ovarian cancer is often a deadly disease. The statistics are not good. I am lucky because I was Stage 1 (the disease was restricted to my left ovary) but Grade 3, Serous (so if it decides to get going again, it will really take off). I hope you learn something here, that helps you as a patient or a care-giver. Check out the links to the many excellent resources available, both here in Canada and elsewhere.
I am no longer updating this site (too busy getting on with life) but it has some useful comments and links so feel free to look around!
