Gentle Reader

Hello everyone …

April 2012

I am truly blessed to have many friends in Canada and the UK, who have been crossing their fingers and toes and sending me good wishes and energy while I navigate this not so small obstacle course.

Neither Alex nor I can manage to speak with or write to you all personally so I’ve set up this site to make it easier to keep in touch with people while I am going through this process of surgery, treatment and recovery. You have probably arrived here as a result of a link on an email you received from the site. This means you will get an automatic email when one of us posts an update. You must confirm using the link in the email – or if you have lost it, enter your email address at the bottom of the page again and then follow the instructions. If you would like to unsubscribe you can do so via a different link at the bottom of the email.

I will be posting updates as they seem appropriate, to let you know how I’m doing. They won’t all be about gruesome medical stuff – more about how I am making progress, what I am doing, reading, etc. I know that I will not be able to correspond fully with each and every one of you over the next little while, so I hope you will check back here when I post something.

Feel free to post comments and feedback – humour is appreciated! If you would like to send me email that would be fantastic as well (you know my address).

Alex is a wonderful strength and support, diligently taking notes at the meetings and researching things as they come up, as well as providing healthy meals and good advice. She is managing to fit in this adventure along with all her other responsibilities related to seasonal demands at work as well as looking for a new warehouse and organizing the move – which I would have helped out on had I not now become otherwise occupied. If you want something done, ask a busy woman!

My dear friend Mary once told me ( a very long time ago) “All experience is good experience” and I do truly believe that.

Looking forward to hearing from you …

Big hugs …

Bridget
